Before following his passion to SMP, Michael spent 25 years working on big-budget Hollywood movies and television shows in various roles. He’s been involved in some truly impressive projects on film sets around the world, trusted by a-list stars, producers, and colleagues alike.

Some of his professional achievements include tattoo design & transfer for James Cameron’s Avatar, three years of practical effects, prosthetics, lead make-up, and more for The Hobbit Trilogy, intricate facial hair & detailed make-up and effects for over 1000 actors in The Last Samurai, and make up, facial hair, tattoo transfer for Jason Statham’s stunt double in The Meg - a process similar to SMP, scrutinised under the the most impressive film lenses available.

The rigor and precision required was the absolute pinnacle of his craft, while navigating demanding environments, time constraints, and actors needing positive energy, and a Zen atmosphere to get into their character’s headspace.
